FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today that it was awarded a $160 million training support services task order by the Army Contracting Command -- Orlando. The task order, awarded in December 2023 as part of the $975 million Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, has a one-year base period and four option years.

Mission training complexes are where soldiers and entire units receive individual mission command information system training, collective battle staff training and simulation training to prepare for deployment. Over the life of the contract, GDIT will train more than 200,000 soldiers at U.S. Army’s III Armored Corps mission training complexes. GDIT will provide individual and collective training that integrates the live, virtual and constructive (LVC) environment – immersive exercises that simulate complex scenarios to enhance training effectiveness. The company will also deliver technical and logistical support services.

“High-quality training is critical to ensuring success in today’s complex and rapidly evolving battlefield environment,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for Defense. “For more than 19 years, we have supported the Army’s mission training complexes with integrated training capabilities. We look forward to continuing to provide modern training services to strengthen its operational and warfighting readiness.”

The contract expands the company’s training support services portfolio across the Department of Defense. Last year, GDIT was awarded a $1.7 billion Flight School Training contract and a $383 million Navy Training contract to support the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, respectively.

GDIT is a business unit of General Dynamics, a global aerospace and defense company that offers a broad portfolio of products and services in business aviation; ship construction and repair; land combat vehicles, weapons systems and munitions; and technology products and services.
