Federal agency leadership face huge challenges, from the accelerated pace of technological change to increasingly sophisticated cyberthreats. Shrinking budgets while addressing ever growing demand for customer centric government services is further pushing the need for advanced modernization and technology adoption.

Jylinda Johnson, GDIT Vice President and General Manager, Government Operations, Commerce and Global Citizen Services, recently joined ACT-IAC’s Accelerating Government podcast to discuss how she and her team apply technology to make a difference in people’s lives.

For example, she and her team manage the overall infrastructure at AmeriCorps, known for the Peace Corps program. There, the team’s modernization work enables the agency to tackle hard technology problems, and in doing so, allows them to serve more volunteers. Partnering with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, her team supports a major cloud migration project, and one of the federal government’s largest Zero Trust efforts at the Department of Education.

“It is exciting because I like to be associated with purpose – work that I can see, work that we can touch, and work that we can see improves people’s lives.” – Jylinda Johnson, Vice President and General Manager

Clearly, Jylinda has a great mindset and demonstrates GDIT’s consultative approach to advancing customer missions.
